Terms & Conditions of Entry
1. The organisers and land owners accept NO responsibility for accidents, damage, injury or illness to competitors,
spectators, animals or equipment.
2. The venue, a competition yard, requires that all visiting horses, ponies and donkeys must have had a flu
vaccination within the last 6 months and no less than 7 days before the event. Please maintain good biosecurity
as recommended by BEF and do not approach the resident horses.
3. The judge’s / organisers decision is final.
4. The Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, particularly on the grounds of safety, harness & carriage fit or
behaviour (human or pony).
5. NO entry fees will be refunded due to cancellation by competitors unless a doctor’s or veterinary certificate is
produced.
6. Objections must be made in writing within 15 minutes of the judge’s / organisers decision, accompanied by a £10.00
deposit, which will be refunded if the objection is upheld.
7. All competitors must carry 3rd party insurance. Entry must include proof of their driving insurance.
8. SCDC or any BC affiliated club member must have previously been assessed to compete.
9. All horses, ponies & donkeys must be at least 4 years old.
10. British Carriagedriving rules will apply for cones.
11. Junior drivers must be at least 10yrs old. Grooms must be at least 12 yrs. old if the driver is over 18yrs old. If driver
is under 18yrs, the groom must be over 18yrs old
12. Hard hats of the current safety standard must be worn whilst on a vehicle or mounted.
13. Entrants should satisfy themselves that the condition of their vehicle, harness and equipment is adequate to meet
the needs of the event.
14. Galloping anywhere at the venue is strictly forbidden and may result in dismissal from the event.
15. Lunging is NOT permitted at the event.
16. All dogs must be kept on a lead.
17. All litter is to be taken home or put in bins provided. Droppings and lose hay to be put in the muck trailer provided.

Data Protection Statement
Southern Carriage Driving Club retains the data provided by those entering this event for the purpose of organising and running the event and planning of future events. By completing the entry form the participant understands and agrees that this data can be used for the publication of event reports, results of the event in paper and electronic media, including photographs taken at the event.

Disclaimer
The organisers of the event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of
everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards. Show less
