MEMBERSHIP All Guernsey competitors must be members of, and their horses registered with, BS Guernsey. Visitors from outside the Island must take out a temporary membership. For a temporary membership, you must submit a completed copy of the temporary/visiting membership application form (available from www.bsguernsey.co.uk), plus a £15 fee along with your entries and entry fees. The fee covers the entire event. Please add this amount under Services above. GENERAL Entrants agree to comply with the eligibility rules (see below) for all unaffiliated classes and to BD Rules for all BD classes. All classes follow BD bitting rules. Whips and callers are allowed for all classes.(except when running Iberian and Championship classes) At the judge’s discretion, assistance (e.g. a runner) is allowed for Forest Farm tests. Class sections may be combined or subdivided at the organiser’s discretion (depending on entry numbers). ELIGIBILITY RULES FOR UNAFFILIATED CLASSES The Under 12s section is applicable to any rider aged 11 years or less on 31/12/2018 (regardless of horse / pony height). The Under 16s section is applicable to any rider aged 15 years or less on 31/12/2018(regardless of horse / pony height). The prelim restricted section is applicable to any age rider that has not: Scored over 65% at novice or higher level or Competed as a full BD member at an affiliated competition or Won a championship class at that level before. The novice restricted section is applicable to any age rider that has not: Scored over 63% at elementary or higher level or Competed at novice or higher level as a full BD member at an affiliated competition or Won a championship class at that level before. The elementary restricted section is applicable to any age rider that has not: Scored over 63% at medium or higher level or Competed at elementary or higher level as a full BD member at an affiliated competition or Won a championship class at that level before. Open sections are applicable to any other riders (of any age). Any rider may enter class that only has an open section. RIDING MULTIPLE TESTS The same test may be ridden more than once on any one day, but the later test must be ridden Hors Concours (HC) i.e. non-competitively. It is permitted to ride two different tests within any “Pick a Test” class on a competitive basis. Three classes are permitted at Novice or below level. ROSETTES AND PRIZE MONEY Rosettes for unaffiliated classes will be awarded for each section as shown on the schedule. Prize money for affiliated classes will be awarded overall as per the BD rule book. BD competitors competing on a training entry will be entitled to relevant rosette allocations but not prize money. ENTRIES Entries close as detailed above. Priority will be given to entries on a first come first allocated basis. Entries are £11.00 per class.£13.00 for affiliated. Late entries accepted subject to space at £5 per class surcharge. Late entries include those received in the post after close of entries date. Withdrawals received on or after the close of entries date will not be entitled to a refund of entry fees. TIMES Times will be e-mailed. For those without access to email prior to the show please call Michelle Robilliard on 07781 438047 . Class running order is not necessarily as listed in the schedule. Unaffiliated competitors maybe required to go up to 15 minutes before their allocated time, but consideration will be given to exceptional circumstances. WEATHER / CANCELLATION If weather conditions cause cancellation of a competition, entries will be carried forward to the next show minus a deduction of £3per entry to cover judge airfares.
