SHOW RULES MEMBERSHIP ▪ All Guernsey competitors must be members of, and their horses registered with, BS Guernsey. Visitors from outside the Island must take out a temporary membership. ▪ For visiting competitors, you must submit a completed copy of the visiting membership application form (available from www.bsguernsey.co.uk), plus a £15 fee along with your entries and entry fees. The fee covers the entire event. ▪ Non Members will be allowed to compete in competitions on two weekends during the year. This will only apply to introductory and preliminary classes. The entry fee will be £15 per class . You need to go to services to add the additional fee of 4 pounds a class. GENERAL ▪ Entrants agree to comply with the eligibility rules (see below) for all unaffiliated classes and to BD Rules for all BD classes. ▪ All classes follow BD bitting rules. ▪ Whips and callers are allowed for all unaffiliated classes. ▪ At the judge’s discretion, assistance (e.g. a runner) is allowed for Introductory tests. ▪ Class sections may be combined or subdivided at the organisers discretion (depending on entry numbers). ELIGIBILITY RULES FOR UNAFFILIATED CLASSES ▪ The Under 12s section is applicable to any combinations with a rider aged 11 years or less on 01/01/2018. ▪ The Under 16s section is applicable to any combinations with a rider aged 15 years or less on 01/01/2018. ▪ Intro classes are only open to competitors that previously have not competed in Prelim tests of above Prelim 15. Newcomers are able to compete in prelim 15. ▪ The prelim restricted section is applicable to any rider that has not: ▪ Scored over 65% at novice or higher level or ▪ Competed as a full BD member at an affiliated competition or ▪ Won a championship class at that level before. ▪ The novice restricted section is applicable to any rider that has not: ▪ Scored over 63% at elementary or higher level or ▪ Competed at novice or higher level as a full BD member at an affiliated competition or ▪ Won a championship class at that level before. ▪ The elementary restricted section is applicable to any rider that has not: ▪ Scored over 63% at medium or higher level or ▪ Competed at elementary or higher level as a full BD member at an affiliated competition or ▪ Won a championship class at that level before. ▪ Open sections are applicable to any other combinations (with any age rider). ▪ Any combinations may enter classes that only have an open section. RIDING MULTIPLE TESTS ▪ The same test may be ridden more than once on any one day, but the later test must be ridden Hors Concour (HC) i.e. non-competitively. ▪ It is permitted to ride two different tests within any “Pick a Test” class on a competitive basis. ROSETTES AND PRIZE MONEY ▪ Rosettes for unaffiliated classes will be awarded for each section as shown on the schedule. ENTRIES ▪ Entries close 11th October 2018 Priority will be given to entries on a first come first allocated basis. ▪ Late entries accepted subject to space at £5 per class surcharge. Late entries include those received in the post after close of entries date. ▪ Withdrawals received on or after the close of entries date will not be entitled to a refund of entry fees. TIMES ▪ Times will be e-mailed. ▪ Class running order is not necessarily as listed in the schedule. ▪ Competitors maybe required to go up to 15 minutes before their allocated time, but consideration will be given to exceptional circumstances. WEATHER / CANCELLATION ▪ If weather conditions cause cancellation of a competition, entries will be carried forward to the next show minus a deduction of £3 per entry to cover judge airfares. THE INTRO TESTS AND P15 ARE OPEN TO NON MEMBERS IF THEY HAVE NEVER COMPETED THIS YEAR OR HAVE DONE ONLY ONE WEEKEND PREVIOUSLY> PLEASE NOTE THE ENTRY FOR NON MEMBERS IS £15 YOU PAY £11 AS NORMAL AND THE ADDITIONAL £4 IS PAYABLE IN SERVICES
