Class 1- JUNIOR NOVICE max height 80cm; riders aged 12-16 yrs (1st January 2018), Dressage test BE96 entry fee £40 Class 2- NOVICE max height 80cm; riders 16yrs and over who have NEVER competed at a BE eventing competition, Dressage Test BE96 entry fee £40 Class 3- OPEN max height 80cm; open to all, Dressage Test BE96 entry fee £40 Prizes- Rosettes 1st- 6th. Prizes in kind for each class, kindly sponsored by Dodson and Horrell. There will be a rosette for best ROR in each section. The course- The showjumping will be indoors on a surface and built to be encouraging for novice horses and riders. The cross country will be built to BE standards, across old turf and designed to give conficence for both horse and rider. Cancellation- If the event is doubtful due to weather all information will be posted on the Ian Stark Website and Facebook page. Entries- Entry fee for all classes- £40. Start fee £5 for medical cover to be paid upon collection of number. Entries close on Saturday 11th August at 12 noon. No late entries will be accepted unless someone withdraws. Enter via Horsemonkey or send paper entry to; Nydia Chandler, Old Melrose Lodge, Melrose, TD6 9DF with full payment. Rules This event will be run in accordance to British Eventing Rules with the exception of the following; • The course will be available to walk from 2pm on Friday 17th August, not before • Body Protectors and Helmets per British Eventing 2018 rule standards are compulsory • A £5 medical charge per competitors is made when collecting numbers • The Judge’s decision is FINAL • Start Times published on the website by Thursday 16th August by 8pm • In the event of cancellation or abandonment, all entry fees will be refunded less a £5 admin charge. • In the event of no-show, the entry fees will not be refunded unless the place is filled from a wait list or where the rider finds a replacement for their booking • Competitors may ONLY have 3 refusals at any numbered obstacle (elimination) after which they will be compulsorily retired and must leave the course at walk. • Medical armbands are not mandatory but are advised. • The organisers do not accept any responsibility for loss, injury, damage or accident to any person, animal or property whatsoever. • Vehicles parked at the owner’s risk. • No refunds after closing date. In the event of cancellation, refunds will be given within 10 days and less £5 per entry (to cover admin costs). • Horses / Ponies must be 4 years or over. • Dogs must be kept on leads at all times. • Horses /Ponies must NOT be left tied to Lorries / trailers unattended. • No mucking out of Lorries / trailers onto car park area. • A horse or rider fall = elimination and must leave the course immediately unmounted. • Organiser have the right to refuse entries if oversubscribed – please enter well in advance. • Entries will not be accepted without payment. • Those that are eligible for special prizes must notify the organisers at least 4 days prior to the event. • The times will be recorded by official timing equipment that shall be collaborated prior to the event commencing. Timing evidence provided by individuals out with the official timer’s will not be accepted. • Objections must be lodged in writing with the secretary, accompanied by a deposit of £25 (only refundable if objection successful) within 20 minutes of the results being published. The organiser’s decision is final.
