Intro to Dressage Competition and Clinic!

Improving your dressage competition and clinic. A day aimed at people who are just starting out on their dressage journey (maybe you've already started competing and want some help to improve, or want to but don't know where to start!) or you would like to try the next level! We did our first clinic in this format last week and it was a great success! The reason behind this format is often all the training you have done, it goes out of the window on competition day and you forget everything, and then after the competition you forget what it was you need to improve - so I thought let's try combining competing and training all on the same day!! In the morning there will be a normal competition- one intro class and one prelim class, which will be judged with rosettes etc as normal. We will then go through your sheets and explain why you had the scores/comments - how often do you get to question the judge?? There will then be a ridden demo showing each of the tests from the morning competition, and showing the common mistakes - most horse riders are visual learners and the riders at the last clinic thought this was very useful! We will also have an informal chat about sports psychology and how to keep your focus at a competition, what to do and how to plan your warm up. Then a group session so you can ride through and perfect the things you've had highlighted on your sheet and learned in the discussion/demo., and the re-ride your test. £55 for the whole day - bargain!!
