NAF are sponsoring the Summer Arena Event Series and are offering some fantastic prizes including;
1st Prize in each class: TBC PLUS £15 CASH
2nd Prize: TBC & £10 CASH
3rd Prize : TBC
OVERALL SERIES WINNER: TBC…. ALSO Ian Stark will be offering a FREE 1 hour group lesson and informal chat over a tea/coffee to the overall top 10 horse/rider combinations. This lesson will take place in Spring 2019 prior to the eventing season. Winners will have a choice of 2 dates (TBC) and will joining 4 other riders in there group. ALSO Champion RUG for the overall combination with the most points throughout the series. There will also be an award for the PONY, 4/5yo horse and ROR with the most points throughout the series (must achieve at least 10 points to qualify)
How Arena Eventing It Works …Competitors will compete in a dressage and jumping phase. Scores from the dressage will be converted into penalties, which will be carried forward to the SJ and XC phase. Competitors will compete a SJ course with penalties being added for knock-downs and refusals in the normal way. After the competitor has finished the SJ they will proceed to the XC as directed. There will be penalties on the XC for going too slow, and refusals and knock downs
Knock down = 4 faults
1st refusal = 4 faults
2nd refusal = 8 fault
Rider fall = 10 faults
3rd refusal or 2nd rider fall = Elimination
1 time faults for every second over the optimum time based at a speed that will be published at the competition.
There will be Rugs awarded to the Horse and Rider combination with the most points throughout the series. There will also be an award for the PONY , 4/5yo Horse and RoR with the most points throughout the series.
Points will be awarded as follows (double points at the final);
1st – 6 points
2nd – 5 pts
3rd – 4 pts
4th – 3 pts
5th – 2 pts
6th – 1 pt
At each event rosettes will be awarded to 1-6th  in all classes and prize money / prizes in kind to 3rd, providing there are more than 10 entries, otherwise prize to the winner only.)
ALL CLASSES ENTRY FEE – £22
Class 1 – 65cm SJ and XC, Intro B test (Horse and rider combination never to have finished in the top 3 at an Arena Event at this height or above, or competed at any BE fixture)
Class 2 – 75cm SJ and XC, BE 92 (2009) test  (Horse and rider combination never to have finished in the top 3 at British Eventing event during the  2017 or 2018 season)
Class 3 – 85cm SJ and XC, BE 92 (2009) test (Horse and Rider combination never to have been placed in top 3 in a BE 90 or above during the 2017/18 season)
Class 4 – 95m SJ and XC, BE 92 (2009) test – Open
Class 5 – 1m05 SJ & XC, BE 106 (2012) test– Open
