Cockshot Dressage Series and Championship - Will you be crowned Champion?
Cockshot Dressage have some amazing news about our Unaffiliated Dressage Competitions - this Winter!
We are running a Winter Dressage Series League (October to February) with a Championship Show on Saturday 28th March 2026!
Competitors have chances to win rosettes/sashes aand prizes for both the League & Championship.
Competitors collect league points based on placings and the competitor with the most points at the end of the series wins the league!
Points given as follows:-
1st Place = 4 points
2nd Place = 3 Points
3rd Place = 2points
4th Place onwards = 1 point.
Everyone entering will receive 1 point. If we need to cancel the competition due to adverse weather conditions, ALL COMPETITORS will still receive one point! Also if we need to reschedule but you cannot attend you will still receive 1 point to enable you to qualify for the Championships!
Competitors entering more than one class in the same section, on the same day, will receive points for the higher placed class only.
Competetitors may enter more than one section and will obtain points for each section. For example, Senior Prelim & Senior Novice.
Each class has a junior and senior section.
A league table will be published so you can monitor your points.
The more shows you enter the more chances you have of winning the league and associated prizes.
The Winter League shows will be on the following dates:-
19th October 2025
15th November 2025
14th December 2025
31st January 2025
21st February 2025
How to qualify for the Championship show:-
In order to qualify for the championship show, competitors must attend a min of 3 league shows.
- Attend 3 or more shows and you automatically qualify for the Championship.
- At the championship show all points revert back to zero so anyone can win on the day.
- League winners will be announced at the 21st February 2026 show.

Eligibility to compete:-
This is a fun & friendly competetition aimed at true grassroot riders so therefore we expect all competitors to be honest about entering the correct level.
Any competitior currently competing in BD who wishes to enter, must do so at a level above the one they are currently competing at. For example, currently competing at Prelim BD, you are only eligible to enter novice or above.
Juniors not to have attained their 18th birthday on the 1st Jan 2025 and seniors 18 years & above on the 1st Jan 2025.
Any horse/rider who has competed in a BD competition from 1/1/2024 is classed as currently competing for the purpose of this competition.
Competition to be run under BD rules.
Whips and callers are allowed in the league series as well as the championship show.
