Come to the Yorkshire Riding Centre for a 1/2 day camp themed around British Dressage Competitions. With a focus on gaining experience riding BD tests and how to preparae for a competition.
The day will comprise of 2 ridden sessions including:
Working In Wobbles - Do you find it challenging to work with groups of riders? This will be a flat work session working with other combinations under the guidance of one of our coaches.
Dressage Test Practice - You will have the opportunity to ride through a British Dressage test of your choice. This will be judged, feedback given, score sheet and rosette.
Sessions are tailored to suit the combinations. This camp is very tailored and designed to be exactly what you and your confidence needs!
There will be a “Let’s Get Going” rider fitness session plus other practical sessions.
Who Is camp for?
Our coaches have been selected to provide a warm and welcoming learning environment for you and your horse. You will all go away having achieved more than you imagined but, no one or their horse will be pushed to do anything they don’t want to. Everyone will be treated as individuals and with respect whatever the level you are riding at.
The ability of the groups may range from some who are not sure they want to even ride in front of people, to those regularly competing.
Some people want to come more for the social, to be fed, watered and have some special horsey time and that is fine too. We are friendly community at YRC and welcome all riders to enjoy our facilities.
Important bits.
The camp costs £75 for the day, limited to 8 riders.
Open to those at Intro to Medium level.
Riders should be 12 years and above. Those aged between 12 and 18 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the day.
1 FREE entry to the British Dressage/Quest competition on Sunday 5th October to all those who take part in the camp.
There are no hidden extras - food for yourself including snacks, tuition and coaching on and off horse, facility hire, use of the YRC members pavilion facilities, kitchen and relaxing area.
Day Stable can be purchased at £20 - payable directly to YRC. Please email info@yrc.co.uk to book.
Food and refreshments for family and friends can also be pre-booked.
