About RDA

Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) is a national charity that delivers equine assisted therapy: an exceptional and powerful medium that improves lives and helps individuals to reach their potential.

RDA aims to re-dress the balance of living with disability by delivering opportunities for therapy, achievement and enjoyment for children and adults with physical disabilities and/or learning difficulties, through the provision of riding, carriage driving, vaulting and showjumping.

Over 18,000 RDA volunteers, give their time annually to provide 28,000 adults and children with physical disabilities and learning difficulties with the opportunity to improve their quality of life and learn life skills.

At Horse Monkey we believe that the determination, dedication and passion RDA volunteers and riders show makes them a unique and very special breed of humans!

If you think you’ve got what it takes to be a RDA Volunteer, get ready to participate. As RDA says, “it’s what you CAN do that counts” and with your help RDA can provide more opportunities for more people.

Horse Monkey is an innovative, on-line service, designed for everyone equestrian who wants to know what is happening where and when in the equestrian world.

RDA is delighted to be working with Horse Monkey to share information about our events with the widest possible audience, on a national and regional basis. Our home page also provides us with a platform to send out information about our services, appeal for support and engage with potential riders and volunteers.

We will be encouraging our Member Groups to take up the opportunities Horse Monkey offers to support their work and raise awareness of their events locally.
